- Draw a line segment ABABAB and take a point CCC somewhere above the line AB.AB.AB. Join AC.AC.AC.
- With AAA as center, draw an arc of suitable radius cutting ABABAB at DDD and ACACAC at M.M.M.
- With CCC as center and same radius as in step 2,2,2, draw an arc EFEFEF cutting CACACA at G.G.G.
- Now, place the compass at DDD and adjust the pencil such that the radius equals DMDMDM. With the same radius, draw an arc with GGG as centre cutting the arc EFEFEF at H.H.H.
- Join CHCHCH and extend that line to both sides and name it L.L.L. Line LLL is parallel to AB.AB.AB.
